Hello and welcome to Avisual Studios. Today we want to talk about the all-terrain equipment we have located in the Product Corner of our photography studio: the Orbitvu Alphastudio XXL, a tool specifically designed to maximize automation in product photography, controlling important aspects such as lighting, background removal, or digitization and uploading files to e-commerce in a quick and simple way.

The equipment features integrated LED lighting consisting of two double front panels, a top panel, a bottom panel, and a back panel. These last two will allow us to achieve backlighting to automatically remove the background or saturate with white for video recording or photography.

The base of the equipment has a motorized plate, which allows us to take 360º photographs or videos, both of products and live models. Additionally, it has a magic table where you can place tiny products or those with complex stability. By the way, with the Alphastudio XXL you can also photograph products or packaging containing liquids, with high-quality results.

The machine is designed to work with two cameras simultaneously, as it has a front Manfrotto support and another, integrated one, to capture from a overhead angle. From the iMac incorporated in the Alphastudio XXL, we can control all parameters through the Orbitvu Station: A capture and editing solution from which we can control camera parameters, product light and color parameters, automatically remove the background, and control mask transparency and shadow adjustments.

An incredible tool for product photography

When taking the photograph, the equipment will make two captures, one with front elimination and another with backlighting, generating a mask that automatically removes the background. Additionally, we also have the possibility of making a third capture to add a natural shadow, enabling the maintenance of transparency, and we can also choose the number of frames that best suits our work.

The Orbitvu Station also allows us to create custom adjustment templates with lighting and editing parameters to streamline the photographic process, as well as export it in different formats.

But that’s not all. Once the editing of images or videos is finished, you can export them in multiple formats or upload them directly to your e-commerce.

In the “publish” tab we can create export profiles that will allow us to adjust all the necessary parameters, as well as some very interesting functions, specific for e-commerce, such as automatic margin cropping or watermarking.

In the export profiles, we can find the main parameters, such as file format, image size, and extra tools like automatic margin cropping, shadows, and reflections.
